Wedding photography goes Crufts.

Dog or cat person?  We’re actually both, but at present our household is ruled by two rescue dogs, both lurchers (greyhound crosses) who since their arrival five years ago have settled in our hearts, not to mention on our sofas.  And we’re not the only ones with a soft spot for family members of the canine variety,  judging by the dogs we encounter when we meet couples as engagement photographers.  So to coincide with the annual Crufts show, we put together this weeks blog for canine lovers everywhere……

Rick and Lucy brought their two adorable Labradoodles, Billy and Buddy, for some relaxed engagement photos in the local park before their wedding at Mere Golf resort in Cheshire.

A few strategic dog treats persuaded the dogs to pose………

Well, almost. Needless to say, Billy and Buddy weren’t asked to be ring bearers on the day!

Sometimes, dogs just make their presence felt, no matter how tiny their stature.  Jiffy was keen to get in on the action during Rosie’s portrait session, and he wasn’t going to take “no” for an answer.portrait photo of bride to be with her dog

So in the end he just had to have his own portrait!

Then there was Scholes, “look at me I’m gorgeous” who we met at Ben’s house as he was getting ready before his wedding to lovely Lauren at the Dunkenhalgh.  We couldn’t resist a photo of that face!

So here’s to sofa-hugging, treat-munching, pampered pooches everywhere – and their owners of course! And if you would like some relaxed portrait photos taken with (or without!) your favourite canine, just get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
